The second shot below shows the MG TC as it is today. The MG TC outlasted the Futuro by decades Richard Townley actually purchased the MG TC from Dermoudy in 1975 and has owned it to this day.

The exterior photo of the Futuro included in the supplement was a shot that included two vehicles an MG TC and a Valiant Charger (the photo is very similar to this shot in which the Futuro is seen with the Valiant Charger and a VW Beetle). Our thanks to Richard Townley who sent us the images below.

Included in the supplement was an article about Peter Dermoudy's Darwin Futuro which includes both pre and post Cyclone Tracy photos of the Futuro. In December 2004 the Northern Territory News issued a supplement titled " Cyclone Tracy : 30th Anniversary".

Given the lack of the trees and shrubs seen around the Futuro in other photos it seems likely this photo was taken early on in the short life of this unit.Īlso interesting was a comment on the post by Andrew King in which he posted this cool aerial imagery from 1974 which precisely places the Futuro at the southern end of Lambell Terrace, Darwin (12☂7'16.59"S 130☄9'41.51"E). The photo below is one we had not previously seen of this Futuro it was posted by ABC Darwin to their Facebook page 090720. The photo below, a photo of this Futuro we had not previously seen, was posted to Instagram by Franck Gohier Franck's original post can be found on Instagram here.
